The Appeal Tribunal is committed to developing a professional, efficient and accessible appellate institution that responds effectively to the needs of refugees and applicants for refugee status.
Through collaboration with national institutions, international organisations, civil society, legal practitioners, academia and other stakeholders, the Tribunal will promote learning, capacity building, research and dialogue on refugee and asylum law.
Its vision is to contribute to an asylum system in which every eligible appellant has access to a fair, effective and timely appeal process, and where decisions are made with independence, integrity and respect for the rule of law.
